Call for expressions of interest: monitoring and assessment of the state of continental, coastal and marine aquatic environments - 3rd edition

The French Biodiversity Agency (AFB) is launching the 3rd edition of the Call for Expressions of Interest "Developments in monitoring and assessment of the state of continental, coastal and marine aquatic environments in the context of European directives" 2019.

This MAI is intended for any public or private entity interested in submitting a project for action to monitor and assess the state of freshwater, coastal and marine ecosystems. It also concerns the assessment of human activities and the pressures they generate in response to the European directives Water Framework Directive, Flora and Bird Habitats, Marine Strategy.

In short:

Type of project expected: These projects must meet a need or group of needs identified in the compendium "Developments in monitoring and assessment of the state of continental, coastal and marine aquatic environments within the framework of European directives". They must also be integrated into the scope of research and development, in particular experimental development, with the aim of improving monitoring and evaluation techniques and tools in support of national strategies for the preservation of aquatic environments;

Total amount of the envelope: Approximately €1,500,000 including VAT (15 to 20 projects could be selected);

LBS assistance rate: Partial funding of up to 80% of LBS;
 Closing date: Submission of applications until 03/11/19 (midnight Paris time).
