Call for projects in the maritime sector

15 May 2019

The Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) are launching a call for intersectoral research projects between France and Quebec on the sea. It is intended for teams composed of researchers from Quebec and France.

The overall objective of the call is to improve the understanding of human activities, including maritime transport, combined with the natural variability of the oceans, that impact the sustainability of the ocean-coastal-river continuum and socio-economic services. Projects must be interdisciplinary, intersectoral, and/or transdisciplinary. It is encouraged to establish public-private partnerships and/or engage societal actors (e.g. local authorities, environmental protection associations, fisheries).
