Masters internships - Observatoire Hommes - Milieux " Littoral méditerranéen " (People and Places Observatory)

Since 2024, the MedCoast Living Lab is now in operation within theOHM Littoral Méditerranéen (OHM LM). This is a research-action scheme bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to study Nature-based Solutions, from their representations to their implementation and effects on the Mediterranean coastline. It is part of the national research programme Solubiodwhich we have already had the opportunity to present at the OHM-LM's annual seminars.

the MedCoast Living Lab would like to fund internships to strengthen the interdisciplinary study of Nature-based Solutions, in collaboration with local stakeholders.

The theme of the internship will be Nature-based solutions (NBS) on the coast and could involve one or more of the following four areas:

  • SfN and the adaptation of coastal socio-ecosystems to global changes such as sea-level rise and erosion, flooding and marine submersion risks, and spatial recomposition.
  • SfN and environmental health issues such as pollution, contamination and decontamination, as well as the emergence of pathogens.
  • SfN and the management of biodiversity, for example from the point of view of invasive species, whether of plant or animal origin.
  • SfN and the maintenance of coastal recreational activities.

Particular attention will be paid to multi-disciplinary proposals and projects that demonstrate an effort to address issues common to several disciplines; projects may be led by one or more teams.
