The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) awards early career awards for women scientists.

These awards can reach up to US$50,000 and are intended for women who have completed a PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and work at a research institute or university in one of the least developed countries in science and technology.
Beneficiaries will be encouraged to continue their research at the international level while remaining in their home institute, and to create research groups that can attract international visitors.
