GreenEdge and the Gordon Conference

17 March 2019 to 22 March 2019

Shedding Light on the Physical, Biogeochemical and Human Dimensions of Connectivity in Changing Polar Seas

As mentioned in an email this summer, we would like to hold the upcoming GreenEdge annual science meeting as side meeting to the Gordon Research Conference on Polar marine science in Tuscany (Italy) from 17-22 March 2019.

Since funding is very limited at this phase of the project, this will maximise the visibility of the GreenEdge results while fostering more discussions between the GreenEdge consortium members. We will seek additional sources of funding to get a maximum of participants to these two important international conferences.

The Gordon Conference model is unique in that it involves a relatively small group and follows a format that is especially prone to present and discuss at length basic science.

The Gordon Research Conference on Polar marine science will allow us presenting our Green Edge results to the most relevant community, and discuss those results at depth over a week-long event among us and with other participants. Not only it will allow us communicating about our results, it may as well trigger new collaborations on further utilisations of our data with the best Arctic specialists.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in participating in this conferences.
