INSIS-INSU National Workshop "Water resources and water quality measurements"

2 March 2021 to 3 March 2021

he INSU and INSIS Institutes of the CNRS have decided to organize a cycle of 4 workshops on instrumentation dedicated to environmental monitoring in 2021. Our long-term objective is to combine the technological expertise of INSIS units and the expertise for the observation and operation of natural environments of INSU units in order to develop more innovative tools for environmental observation (e.g. sensors, sensor networks) in terms of spatial and temporal sampling, miniaturization, level of precision, intelligence, energy consumption. The aim is to address the environmental issue (INSU) in order to solve it with methodologies/technologies from the engineering sciences (INSIS), maintaining a close and constant link between these two communities. These workshops will therefore aim to initiate and encourage exchanges and collaborations between teams that are not used to working together, and to set up tools and systems to support the initiatives that will result from these workshops.

The 1st workshop will take place in Montpellier (at the IES) on 2 and 3 March 2021 and will deal with the issue of "Water resources and water quality measurements".
