IUCN World Conservation Congress MIO Program

3 September 2021 to 11 September 2021

Given the current health situation, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has decided to hold an IUCN World Conservation Congress in a "hybrid" format. This will provide an opportunity for those who cannot attend the event in person to follow and participate in some components of the Congress remotely.

The IUCN Congress, originally scheduled for June 2020, will be held in Marseille from 3 to 11 September 2021

With this decision, the French government and IUCN wish to contribute to the success of the event by allowing the widest possible participation from around the world.

The different components of the Congress will take place on the following days:

  • The Forum will take place from September 4 to 7
  • The Exhibition will be held from September 4 to 9
  • The IUCN Members' Assembly will meet from 8 to 10 september with a first session at the beginning of the Congress. The agenda for the Members' Assembly will be updated and published on 3 june 2021.
  • The Nature Spaces will be open from 4 to 11 september
