Marine plastics in the Indian Ocean

Scheduled from October 17 to 19, 2022, this international meeting is part of the ExPLOI project (Expedition
Plastic Indian Ocean). It is placed under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Madagascar, H.E. Mr. Andry Rajoelina, and aims to synergize three important pillars to contribute to the fight against plastic pollution: science, education & society, and industry.

Among the participants, researchers from CNRS, IRD and Ifremer from several UMRs will present work and societal activities on marine plastics. Provisional program to download.

This event is coordinated by :

Tsiory Razafindrabe (Cabinet Director of the Permanent Secretary, Academy of Sciences),
Philippe Boncour (Advisor to the Ambassador for Science, Technology and Innovation)
Thierry Bouvier (Research Director CNRS/IRD, MARBEC Coordinator of the ExPLOI project).

The meeting is co-financed by:
