MONACO OCEAN WEEK
From 24 to 30 March 2019 International marine environment experts will meet again in Monaco for a week dedicated to the major issues facing the Ocean.
It is indeed the future of our common heritage that will be discussed at this 3rd edition of Monaco Ocean Week, from 24 to 30 March 2019, organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Government and their partners, the Institut océanographique de Monaco, the Centre Scientifique de Monaco and the Yacht Club de Monaco.
A unifying event that will bring together scientists, experts, NGOs and representatives of civil society around this major challenge of protecting the oceans.
Themes on the agenda include innovation, research and development of a blue economy.
What are the prospects for biomimicry?
What opportunities does bioplastics create?
How to rethink the yachting of the future?
Federating initiatives to better protect and combat plastic pollution or how to develop a sustainable ocean economy are among the issues that will be addressed during the various workshops and conferences organized throughout the week.
