The drifters released during the Peacetime oceanographic cruise contributed to the MedSVP (Mediterranean Surface Velocity Program). The analysis of this precious dataset has provided new insights about the circulation in the Sicily Channel and Southern Tyrrhenian Sea (Menna et al, 2019).
