Webinar on the call for projects "Transdisciplinary research on trajectories towards sustainability" of the Belmont Forum.

6 October 2020

The French National Research Agency (ANR), the Institute of Research for Development (IRD) and Future Earth Paris are organising an information and exchange webinar in French on 6 October 2020 on the Belmont Forum's call for network projects "Transdisciplinary research on trajectories towards sustainability" launched on 23 July.

This call for projects aims to support transdisciplinary networks to find innovative solutions and/or synthesise the positive and negative interrelationships between economy, technology, institutions and the environment, climate, biodiversity, health and human well-being. This in order to support the co-design of trajectories towards sustainable development.

As the challenge is complex, integrated, transdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approaches are needed, involving natural and social sciences, as well as policy makers, resource managers, industries, citizens and other societal partners. Projects should address one or both of the following themes:

Theme 1 - Development of networks and communities of practice that address the interrelationships, synergies and trade-offs between at least three of the sustainable development goals or SDOs (as defined by the United Nations).

Theme 2 - Synthesis work on the positive and negative interrelationships between at least three of the sustainable development goals or SDOs (defined by the United Nations) using quantitative and/or qualitative methodologies.

The aim of the webinar is to present the Belmont Forum, the themes of this call, as well as the modalities for submitting proposals in response to this call.

This webinar will take place on 6 October from 14:00 Paris time.

To attend this webinar, we invite you to register using this registration form before 4 October 2020. The link to join this webinar as well as the agenda will be sent to you a few days before the webinar.
