The Port of Saint-Tropez recently obtained ISO 18725 certification Active Clean Ports in Biodiversity<\/em>.<\/p>

This worldwide certification rewards rigorous environmental management and innovative initiatives to preserve marine biodiversity. To mark this event, the Commune and its port organised an official ceremony on Thursday 5 June 2025 to award the certification. Active Clean Ports in Biodiversity<\/em>The event was attended by Sylvie Siri, Mayor of Saint-Tropez, elected representatives, Pascal Bonnet, Port Director, V\u00e9ronique Tourrel-Cl\u00e9ment, General Delegate of the Union of Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d'Azur Ports, and Fabrice Fauroux, Director of the Afnor Certification regional delegation.<\/p>

The ceremony was accompanied by an open day dedicated to raising environmental awareness and presenting the actions taken to protect the environment and biodiversity. To mark the occasion, educational events and workshops were organised near the harbour master's office in Saint-Tropez, to raise public awareness of marine biodiversity issues and encourage good environmental practice and sustainable development.<\/p>

The MIO and UTLN were present at the event, with a presentation of their research and observation activities, focusing on coastal dynamics and the HTM-NET network for measuring water levels and temperature, one of whose 22 stations has been installed in the port of Saint Tropez for over a year, and the impact of plastic waste or contaminant flows across beaches on the marine environment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
