The IRD's regional Scientific and Strategic Steering Committee (SSSC) in Thailand was held in Bangkok from 17<\/strong> at 20th June<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>

This CPSS also marked the second edition of the Southeast Asia Environmental Systems regional workshop<\/em> (SEAES 2025), at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok (Thailand), on the same dates, attended by Marc Tedetti (MIO), Xavier Mari (MIO), IRD representative in Thailand and one of the two main organisers of the congress with Marine Hermmann from LEGOS, and Olivier Pringault (MIO), Director of the IRD's OCEANS Department. A poster by Sandrine Chifflet (MIO) was also presented at the workshop. Gilles Pecassou, Deputy Director General of the IRD, also took part in the conference.<\/p>

The aim of this year's event was to go beyond the scientific ecosystem and bring together all the players involved in Southeast Asia in the field of aquatic issues, in order to strengthen the role of science as a driving force behind innovative, inclusive and sustainable solutions, and to promote a science-society dialogue to support the development of regional research and training projects.<\/p>
