On Thursday 18 December 2025, Sandrine Ruitton hosted the 2025 Marine Science Awards<\/em> by the Acad\u00e9mie des Sciences Lettres et Arts de Marseille, under the patronage of Nardo Vicente and Hubert Ceccaldi, supported by Compagnie du Ponant.<\/p>

This prize rewards personalities for their involvement in marine sciences. The Academy underlined the high quality of his internationally recognised work.<\/p>

His research focuses in particular on the functioning of coastal ecosystems and marine food webs. Its work measures the ecological state of marine habitats and the pressures exerted by humans on ecosystem dynamics. Understanding the influence of marine protected areas and artificial reefs is essential for the development of sustainable management of the marine environment.<\/p>

It has developed expertise in fieldwork (usually diving), in situ monitoring and the taxonomy of benthic species.<\/p>

It has a wide range of international collaborations, including transatlantic and Mediterranean oceanographic missions.<\/p>

As a university lecturer, she has dealt with subjects relating to the links between the environment and the various pressures that disrupt it.<\/p>

Finally, it is also recognised for its involvement in society, both in professional training courses for environmental managers and for its participation in numerous expert committees, reflecting its interest in transferring scientific knowledge to professionals.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
