A team of NC 1<\/em> had monitored its deployment off the coast of Noum\u00e9a two years ago.<\/p>

Since then, the Hope smart buoy has delivered its first results. It measures the capacity of our tropical ocean to capture carbon from the atmosphere. The initial findings show that it plays a much greater role than previously thought. This is good news for the fight against global warming.<\/p>
