The oceanographers on the FUMSECK* mission are criss-crossing the Gulf of Genoa, testing in situ measurement instruments to study currents and biology on a fine scale. The good weather has enabled the deployment of the MVP towed probe and the MIO glider, the flow cytometers are continuously analysing the plankton, and the first vertical velocity measurement stations have aroused the enthusiasm and satisfaction of all concerned. What's more, at noon sharp today, the scientific team had a summit meeting with the Sentinel satellite, which they had been tracking since the morning to validate its data on the ground.<\/p>
