Le BioSWOT AdAC project<\/a> (PI F.d'Ovidio, LOCEAN-IPSL, co-PIs A.M.Doglioli and G.Gr\u00e9gori, MIO) has been accepted by the NASA\/CNES joint call.<\/p>

The aim of this project is to make scientific use of the very first observations from the future SWOT satellite (Surface Water and Ocean Topography<\/a>) beyond physical oceanography, focusing in particular on current biophysical issues.<\/p>

The SWOT satellite is due to be launched in 2022 and researchers from the international consortium BioSWOT Adopt A Cross Over<\/em> are planning a series of oceanographic campaigns at several sites in the global ocean to develop multidisciplinary in situ experiments designed to study the fine-scale dynamics of ocean currents and their role in structuring marine biodiversity.<\/p>
