The aim was to study the transformation of swell on complex bottoms, to represent what happens in nature on rocks, coral reefs or artificial riprap.<br>The experiments were carried out on a linear beach with different irregular swell conditions, enabling the effects of the bottom in shoaling, surfing and swash zones to be analysed.<br>31 wave probes and 2 acoustic Doppler current meters were deployed to measure the evolution of the free surface in space and time and the current profile in the shoaling zone.<br>The campaign was led by Sol\u00e8ne D\u00e9alb\u00e9ra, a PhD student at SIAME (UPPA), supervised by Damien Sous (MIO), and assisted by a host of participants: H\u00e9loise Michaud (SHOM), Samuel Meul\u00e9 (CEREGE), R\u00e9mi Chemin and Aimed Ajroud (MIO-UTLN) and Fred Bouchette (G\u00e9osciences Montpellier) and his many students!
