Mediterranean bio-prospecting campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"basic-page-content\" class=\"page-content\">    <div class=\"content\">    <div class=\"container\">      <div class=\"row\">        <div class=\"col-xs-12\">                      <div class=\"container clearfix\">              <div class=\"row\">                <div class=\"col-xs-12\">                                  <\/div>              <\/div>            <\/div>                                <div class=\"body\">              <div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\"><div class=\"field-items\"><div class=\"field-item even\" property=\"content:encoded\"><p>If you go out to sea, for a day or more, inshore or offshore, in winter or summer, if you have the time and the inclination, collect a 4L bottle for the MIO-IRD's Tropical Culture Collection of Cyanobacteria (TCCC).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The aim of the TCCC is to isolate new strains of diazotrophs for fundamental and applied research. Most of our strains have been isolated from the subtropical Pacific and Indian oceans, and we are starting a bio-prospecting campaign in the Mediterranean.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>These new strains are used 1\/ to carry out fundamental research and supplement field studies, 2\/ our consortium is also looking for properties\/molecules that can be used in the agri-food, cosmetics and nutraceuticals sectors, particularly in the South in the framework of the IRD. The TCCC complies with the Nagoya Protocol.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>We'll leave a box with 6 bottles of SAM's own samples and a short protocol if you're up for it.
