The 12 institutions taking part in the project are spread across the coastline of mainland France.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Its aim is to provide innovative and sustainable solutions, co-constructed with the various stakeholders, for setting up augmented observatories capable of analysing and predicting the trajectories of socio-ecosystems in the face of environmental change. It deploys observation strategies and assesses the effectiveness of certain marine environment management measures. To this end, it combines traditional approaches and new technologies (environmental DNA, in situ and satellite imagery, social network analysis, artificial intelligence, etc.).<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It will pave the way for innovative and adaptive augmented observatories, enabling the development of new integrated indicators of the state of ecosystems. It will be implemented in areas where the social stakes are high, and will be based on a co-construction approach involving scientists (oceanographers, ecologists, data specialists, economists, sociologists) and operational players.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Setting up FUTURE-OBS requires sustained communication with stakeholders and end-users, as part of a co-learning and co-design approach.
