This seventh GDR meeting \u2013 which is expected to attract up to 200 participants \u2013 will take place in Boulogne-sur-Mer from <strong>23<\/strong> at<strong> 25 June 2026,<\/strong> at the Saint-Louis campus of the Universit\u00e9 du Littoral C\u00f4te d\u2019Opale (ULCO).<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oral and poster presentations are welcome on any of the following topics:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n \t<li>Colonisation of plastics by microorganisms. Focus on ecosystems that have yet to be fully studied: the deep sea, polar regions, tropical regions\u2026<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Occurrence, behaviour, transport and transfer of plastics in environmental compartments<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Identification and behaviour of polymers in formulations: inks, paints, anti-fouling coatings, cosmetics, personal care products, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The (bio)degradation of plastic waste: mechanisms, products formed and impacts<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Life-cycle analysis and eco-design of plastics<\/li>\r\n \t<li>OneHealth: the impact of plastics on the environment and human health<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The humanities and social sciences applied to the issue of plastic waste<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Plastics metrology: from nano- and micro-particles to macro-waste.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Registration is open until <strong>14 June 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As in previous years, there will be a ranking of the best presentations and posters by non-permanent staff. <strong>To make it easier to identify these presentations, it is proposed that they be tagged using a symbol<a href=\"https:\/\/fichiers.numerique.gouv.fr\/explorer\/items\/files\/a6a0d292-abb8-4e4c-a9ce-0c8c4ffdb003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> available online<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, to encourage discussion among participants at our conference, we have decided to limit the number of oral presentations to 40. This means we will need to be more selective when reviewing abstracts. Whilst scientific quality will remain paramount, we will also apply the following criteria in order of priority:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n \t<li>young researchers: PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and newly recruited staff.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>the original results<\/li>\r\n \t<li>one presentation per participant and a limited number of presentations per laboratory<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The preferred language for the conference is French, but those who wish to do so may submit their abstract in English, and may also give their presentation in English (or in French, but with slides or a poster in English).<\/p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gdrpes2026.sciencesconf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>More information<\/strong><\/a><\/h4>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Les rencontres annuelles du GDR sont l&#8217;occasion de f\u00e9d\u00e9rer la communaut\u00e9 scientifique.
