Cet appel permet la soumission de propositions qui pourront \u00eatre men\u00e9es dans les deux h\u00e9misph\u00e8res, dans les r\u00e9gions polaires arctiques, subarctiques, antarctiques et subantarctiques.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Les donn\u00e9es doivent \u00eatre actualis\u00e9es pour l’AAP 2025.<\/p>\r\n Il est indispensable pour tout projet de remplir la partie \u00ab\u00a0campaign\u00a0\u00bb du dossier.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n Les codes de connexion \u00e0 notre plate-forme en ligne seront communiqu\u00e9s individuellement \u00e0 chaque porteur de projet.<\/p>\r\n Les nouveaux projets invit\u00e9s au d\u00e9p\u00f4t d’une proposition compl\u00e8te sont ceux dont les lettres d’intention ont re\u00e7u un avis favorable tant sur le plan scientifique que technique lors de leur instruction par la commission d’\u00e9valuation des projets scientifiques (CEPS) et l’Institut polaire lors des sessions de d\u00e9cembre\u00a02024 et d’avril\u00a02025.<\/p>\r\n \r\n Vous trouverez en ligne (\u00e0 venir) un m\u00e9morandum \u00e0 destination des d\u00e9posants de demandes \u00e0 l’appel \u00e0 projets de l’Institut polaire. Ce document synth\u00e9tique pr\u00e9cise les modalit\u00e9s de d\u00e9p\u00f4t, d’\u00e9valuation et de mise en \u0153uvre des projets. Les principaux points de cadrage sont \u00e9galement renseign\u00e9s dans ce m\u00e9morandum afin que les projets soumis soient en coh\u00e9rence avec les capacit\u00e9s de soutien financier, logistique et les ressources humaines de l’Institut polaire. Nous vous invitons \u00e0 lire attentivement ce m\u00e9morandum avant tout d\u00e9p\u00f4t de projet \u00e0 l’AAP 2025 de l’Institut polaire, et attirons particuli\u00e8rement votre attention sur les deux points suivants :<\/p>\r\n\r\n Ces deux points seront pris en compte lors de l’\u00e9valuation et de l’arbitrage des projets.<\/p>\r\n \r\n Pour l’AAP \u00e0 projets 2025, les demandes de soutien financier, de soutien en ressources humaines, et de missions sur le terrain, doivent \u00eatre formul\u00e9es pour la dur\u00e9e totale du projet (dans la section 8 sur le site de saisie en ligne)\u00a0; pour les projets en cours, les demandes faites pour la saison 2026-2027 doivent \u00eatre en coh\u00e9rence avec le plan pluriannuel de demande de soutien financier et humain renseign\u00e9s lors de la soumission du projet.<\/p>\r\n \r\n Tous les dossiers devront \u00eatre r\u00e9dig\u00e9s en anglais. La Commission d\u2019\u00c9valuation des Projets Scientifiques (CEPS) de l’Institut polaire comprend des scientifiques non francophones, et la CEPS fait appel \u00e0 des experts internationaux pour l’\u00e9valuation des projets.<\/p>\r\n \r\n Il est indispensable de structurer votre proposition en \u00ab\u00a0work packages\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0(WP) num\u00e9rot\u00e9s, chacun d’entre eux pouvant \u00eatre subdivis\u00e9 en t\u00e2ches. CV (PI, team)<\/td>\r\n Capacity for project coordination of the Principal Investigator:\r\n<\/u>Project coordination is vital for the management of projects, and this is particularly true in polar regions where planning, organizing of the activities and allocation of material and human resources to achieve specific goals and objectives are crucial. Coordination skills can be evaluated by the number of research projects – or working packages of research project – managed by the principal investigator, team leadership activity, management of scientific networks, organization of workshop, scientific congresses, etc…Research mentoring (number of MSc and PhD students, technical staff) must also be considered, in particular for projects requiring human resources, e.g., civil volunteers (VSC).\r\n \r\n 2. Scientific context<\/td>\r\n Description of the context, the knowns and unknowns, and the position of the project with regard to the state-of-the-art. The importance of the topic should be explicitly stated, and the literature review must be up-to-date (but can consider the historical context of the proposed research) and emphasize the findings of previous research. This section must clearly point out gaps in the literature (for instance, investigations and main findings of previous studies, research gaps which must be filled in). The section must emphasize the novelties of the project in comparison to existing literature. Is the proposed topic timely and relevant?<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n \r\n 3. Research questions\/objectives and hypotheses<\/td>\r\n The research question \/ objectives must define and structure the proposal; they must contribute to fill in the knowledge gaps, explore the contradictions, or concerns mentioned in the literature. In some applications, research objectives \/ questions can be accompanied \/ completed with research hypotheses listing the expected results of the team project, i.e., list of predictions about the project outcomes. This information contribute to the clear structuration of the project (Workpackages, tasks,…).<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n \r\n 4. Methodology and fieldwork<\/td>\r\n The methodology presented must align with the proposed research questions so that the research objectives can be achieved.\r\nWhenever necessary, the methodologies should present strategies for mitigating the impacts the project could have on animals, and more generally habitats.\r\nIn some projects, the methods must meet specific requirements in terms of ethics, authorizations \/ permits (authorization of access, sampling permits, animal experimentation…). Any mention to scientific integrity should be appreciated.\r\nIs the fieldwork adequately planned? Are there enough details regarding the different localities and the agenda for evaluating if the proposed research can be conducted?\r\nIs the project technically and logistically feasible? For complex projects, did the project team exchange with the staff of the French Polar Institute to ensure the feasibility of the project?<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n \r\n 5.
