Dajoudi<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Dur\u00e9e<\/strong> : 2018-2020<\/p><p><strong>Axe de recherche<\/strong> : AT CONTAM MIO<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Le projet <strong>SPlasH!<\/strong> est un <a href=\"http:\/\/interreg-maritime.eu\/fr\/web\/splash\/projet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">projet Marittimo franco-italien financ\u00e9 par l\u2019Europe<\/a>.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Il regroupe 3 p\u00f4les\u00a0: l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/unige.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universit\u00e9 de G\u00eanes<\/a>, l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanresearchinstitute.eu\/en_GB\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">E.R.I. European Research Institute<\/a>, et l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.univ-tln.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universit\u00e9 de Toulon<\/a>. Au sein de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Toulon, 2 laboratoires sont impliqu\u00e9s\u00a0: <a href=\"https:\/\/mapiem.univ-tln.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MAPIEM<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mio.osupytheas.fr\/?lang=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M.I.O<\/a>. Les disciplines couvertes sont celles de la mod\u00e9lisation et du transport de particules M.I.O. \u00e9quipe OPLC (\u00e9quipe d\u2019Oc\u00e9anographie physique et mod\u00e9lisation), chimie de l\u2019environnement et g\u00e9ochimie (\u00e9quipe CEM) et formation et composition des biofilms (MAPIEM). Au total au moins 6 chercheurs travaillent et plus de 4 stages de master ont contribu\u00e9 aux r\u00e9sultats et pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Concr\u00e8tement, nous proc\u00e9dons en premier lieu \u00e0 une <strong>identification num\u00e9rique et qualitative des microplastiques<\/strong>. L\u2019identification num\u00e9rique consiste \u00e0 l\u2019isolation des microplastiques de l\u2019eau de mer \u00e9chantillonn\u00e9e. Ceci s\u2019effectue \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019une loupe binoculaire. Travail fastidieux qui peut demander 1 \u00e0 2 jours par \u00e9chantillon\u00a0!<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Un comptage de ces micoplastiques se fait \u00e0 posteriori \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un appareil appell\u00e9 zooscan. Ce dernier nous permet de quantifier les microplastiques pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment mais \u00e9galement de donner des informations relatives \u00e0 leur <strong>surface<\/strong> mais \u00e9galement \u00e0 leur <strong>volume<\/strong> et leur <strong>forme<\/strong>. Les plastiques sont par la suite pes\u00e9s, ce qui nous permet d\u2019avoir une id\u00e9e de la quantit\u00e9 de plastique pr\u00e9sente dans un volume donn\u00e9 d\u2019eau.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">L\u2019identification qualitative consiste en la <strong>d\u00e9tection des polym\u00e8res majeurs constituant les microplastiques<\/strong>. Celle s\u2019effectue \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un appareil d\u00e9nomm\u00e9e FTIR pour Infrarouge \u00e0 Transform\u00e9 de Fourrier. L\u2019identification de ces polym\u00e8res peut apporte en m\u00eame temps des informations sur le temps qu\u2019un microplastique a pass\u00e9 dans l\u2019eau.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Dans le cadre de ce projet, nous nous sommes \u00e9galement int\u00e9ress\u00e9s \u00e0 la bioconcentration de m\u00e9taux tel que le <strong>cuivre sur les microplastiques<\/strong>. Comme nous l\u2019avons dit plus pr\u00e9c\u00e9dement d\u00e8s qu\u2019un plastique est immerg\u00e9, des organismes vont coloniser les surfaces pour former ce qu\u2019on appelle le <strong>biofilm<\/strong>. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce jour, cette interaction microplastique \u2013 biofilm et m\u00e9taux environnant reste tr\u00e8s peu connue.\u00a0 De ce fait, <strong>un des objectifs majeurs de cette \u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 de quantifier les m\u00e9taux associ\u00e9s aux microplastiques issus d\u2019un processus de bioconcentration par le biofilm<\/strong>. Pour cela il a fallu mettre au point un protocole d\u2019extraction du biofilm qui se forme sur les microplastiques. Nous nous sommes inspir\u00e9s d\u2019un protocole habituellement appliqu\u00e9 pour les s\u00e9diments.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Pourquoi les m\u00e9taux\u00a0?\u00a0 La pr\u00e9sence de m\u00e9taux \u00e0 faible concentration dans l\u2019environnement peut avoir des impacts sur les microorganismes. Leur pr\u00e9sence est m\u00eame essentielle pour certains \u00e9l\u00e9ments. N\u00e9anmoins, d\u00e8s que leur concentration (quantit\u00e9) d\u00e9passe un certain seuil, ils peuvent alors devenir l\u00e9tal.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">En termes d\u2019innovation dans l\u2019appareillage utilis\u00e9 dans l\u2019\u00e9tude de micoplastiques, dans le cadre de ce projet, nous nous int\u00e9ressons essentiellement \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9chantillonnage. En effet, tel que vous l\u2019avez vu, le pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement se fait essentiellement \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un <strong>filet Manta<\/strong>. En revanche ce dernier nous permet des pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements que dans les eaux de surface, et en milieu peu profond, comme les zones c\u00f4ti\u00e8res, il n\u2019y a pas de moyen de pr\u00e9lever \u00e0 des profondeurs interm\u00e9diaires. N\u00e9anmoins, ce qui nous int\u00e9resserait \u00e9galement serait une meilleure connaissance de la r\u00e9partition de ces micoplastiques le long de la colonne d\u2019eau pour voir \u00e0 quelle profondeur ils s\u2019accumulent et leur dynamique dans les premiers km de c\u00f4tes. Tout l\u2019enjeu r\u00e9side dans la mise au point d\u2019un moyen de pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement nous permettant d\u2019\u00e9chantillonner toute la colonne d\u2019eau.
