L\u2019influence du courant sur la propagation de la houle a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e \u00e0 plusieurs reprises pour reconstruire le champ de courant. Cependant, les m\u00e9thodes existantes restent limit\u00e9es dans certaines conditions de mer, notamment en pr\u00e9sence de houles multi-directionnelles. Nous avons d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une m\u00e9thode de minimisation originale pour reconstruire le courant et sa structure verticale, en prenant en compte l\u2019hypoth\u00e8se de houles se propageant dans diff\u00e9rentes directions. Apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu des r\u00e9sultats encourageants sur des signaux de houles th\u00e9oriques, les algorithmes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 des donn\u00e9es issues de campagnes d\u2019essais en bassin ou en canal dans le cas 2D et 3D, incluant certaines, avec un profil de courant lin\u00e9aire contr\u00f4l\u00e9 sur la verticale, afin de valider\u00a0 la m\u00e9thode et d\u2019en identifier les limites. Nous avons notamment r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 retrouver des profils de courant coh\u00e9rents avec ceux qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mesur\u00e9s. L\u2019\u00e9tude a enfin \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e in situ \u00e0 partir de donn\u00e9es d\u2019images satellites successives, rapproch\u00e9es, permettant l\u2019identification des champs de\u00a0 courant. Elle a notamment \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tendue \u00e0 l\u2019analyse de plusieurs images pour tenir compte de la r\u00e9flexion partielle de la houle, ce qui doit permettre une meilleure estimation du courant.<\/p><h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mots-cl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h4><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Houle, multi-directionnelle, courant, cisaillement, c\u00e9l\u00e9rit\u00e9, r\u00e9flexion, exp\u00e9rience en laboratoire, satellite, m\u00e9thode de minimisation<\/p><h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/h4><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wave and current conditions from the open sea to the coast are essential for understanding and modeling coastal dynamics. The impact of currents on wave propagation has been utilized to\u00a0 reconstruct current fields. However, existing methods are still limited in certain sea conditions, especially in the presence of multi-directional waves. We developed an original minimization method to reconstruct the current and its vertical structure, considering the assumption of waves propagating in multiple directions. After obtaining encouraging results with theoretical swell signals, the algorithms were applied to data from tank and canal experiments, involving both 2D and 3D configurations, including some with a vertically controlled linear current profile, to validate the method and identify its limitations Specifically, we successfully recovered current profiles that were consistent with the measured data. Finally, the study was conducted in situ using data from successive, close-up satellite images to identify the current fields.
