From large, quasi-steady currents spanning hundreds of kilometers to mesoscale, submesoscale, and small-scale turbulence at just a few meters, these processes strongly influence the basin\u2019s biogeochemistry, productivity, and overall health.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With climate change amplifying existing pressures\u2014such as intense maritime traffic, overfishing, mass tourism, pollution, biodiversity loss, and habitat degradation\u2014understanding these multiscale interactions has never been more critical.
