Si l\u2019on comprend plut\u00f4t bien la fonction de cette lumi\u00e8re chez les animaux macroscopiques, son r\u00f4le chez les bact\u00e9ries reste plus myst\u00e9rieux. Pourquoi \u00e9mettre de la lumi\u00e8re quand on ne mesure que quelques microns\u202f? Quels avantages \u00e9volutifs ? Peut-on tirer parti de cette lumi\u00e8re dans nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s\u202f?
