Academics and faculty members of CIVIS universities are invited to submit proposals in order to initiate new collaborative research activities or work on joint applications for larger research grants. Proposals must be related to one (or more) of the five CIVIS Hub themes:

- Society, Culture, Heritage
- Health
- Cities, Spaces, Mobilities
- Digital & Technological Transformation
