May 15, 2026 (4 p.m., Paris time) : Deadline for submitting applications on the dedicated NOA platform.
The European and International Affairs Department (DEI) of the CNRS, in close collaboration with the ten thematic institutes, is launching a joint campaign for international research projects and networks.
Eligibility
IRNs and IRPs must be supported by a unit under the supervision of the CNRS.
The coordinator may be either a researcher or a lecturer-researcher from this unit. Non-permanent staff may not coordinate an IRN or IRP.
Application process
The application process for an IRP or IRN is a two-step process :
- Step 1 “Pre-campaign”: At this stage, applicants are invited to contact their affiliated institution to determine the specific requirements. Please note that some institutions may issue their own call for expressions of interest.
- Step 2: “File your IRP and IRN applications on the dedicated NOA platform”: Once the institute has been informed of the application, applicants can submit their application on NOA.
Funding
The maximum grant is €15,000 per year and must be spent during each fiscal year (calendar year).
Notification of funding will be sent to the CNRS unit responsible for the project. IRPs and IRNs are funded by CNRS institutes.
