The AAPG 2026 is structured into 57 research areas, each corresponding to a Scientific Evaluation Committee (SEC) of the same name.
38 research themes presented within 7 disciplinary areas; 19 areas of research correspond to cross-disciplinary (trans- or interdisciplinary) issues at the crossroads of several scientific sectors.
When submitting or registering a project, coordinators choose the scientific focus, and consequently the scientific evaluation committee, most closely aligned with the scientific objectives of their project. This choice cannot be changed during the selection process.
As the outlines of the scientific axes may change between two editions of the call, we invite coordinators to read carefully the descriptions of the scientific axes in the text of the AAPG 2026, including in the event of resubmission of their projects between two editions of the call.
