JEAI PRO2GMA| WOMA 2025 project

On 27 & 28 November, the workshop for the restitution of the Masuku University of Science & Technology (USTM) project took place in Gabon. Ogooué Mangroves.

La JEAI Project Ogooué Mangroves (PRO2GMA) from the IRD was tasked with studying the mangroves of the River Ogooué around Port-Gentil in Gabon.

An inventory was carried out on 3 sites (Mandorové, Olendé and Ozouri) with the quantification of geochemical and microbiological contaminants, the state of physiognomic health and the mapping of mangroves. The mangroves of the Ogooué were then monitored, as was the river, with the ultimate aim of understanding the influence of the Ogooué on its mangroves.
