How New Caledonia’s marine ecosystem helps combat global warming

A report from New Caledonia La 1ère.

A team of NC 1 had monitored its deployment off the coast of Nouméa two years ago.

Since then, the Hope smart buoy has delivered its first results. It measures the capacity of our tropical ocean to capture carbon from the atmosphere. The initial findings show that it plays a much greater role than previously thought. This is good news for the fight against global warming.
