Congratulations to Sophie Bonnet (IRD MIO) who has been awarded funding from the European Research Council (ERC) Proof of Concept for the project SMART-OCEAN: Sustainable Marine Autonomous Real-Time Platform Technology.
Funding for this first call for proposals in 2026, totalling 27.3 million euros, has been awarded to 182 researchers. Amounting to €150,000 each, these grants help current and recent ERC grant holders to explore the commercial or societal potential of their research findings.
This grant scheme forms part of the EU’s research and innovation programme, Horizon Europe.
