As part of an ongoing effort to improve the quality of services provided to users of the vessels and equipment of the French Oceanographic Fleet (FOF), an annual programme has been set up to identify investment requests through a single dedicated procedure. These requests may concern various projects relating to the scientific and technical aspects of FOF vessels, as well as their scientific equipment, software, underwater systems, etc. They fall into three categories, namely: 1 - Safety and regulatory aspects of vessels, systems and gear 2 - Maintaining the operational condition of these vessels, systems and gear 3 - Innovation and improvements to these vessels, systems and gear. and may concern the following items: - gear, equipment (winch, depth sounder, etc.) - software - underwater systems - cables - seismic - coring - laboratory equipment - spare equipment - sampling tools - mobile equipment for scientific teams, etc. Your requests should be made via the JIRA management interface, which can be accessed via your Ifremer extranet account, using the link

You will find attached a user procedure to help you in your application creation process. Please note that the closing date for applications this year is FRIDAY 28 JUNE 2019. At the end of the census campaign, the applications will be examined and selected by a committee made up of representatives from Ifremer, Génavir, the scientific community and SHOM. Their decisions will be announced in November and will be available for consultation via the JIR management interface.
