IUCN Congress

In view of the current health situation, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has decided to organise a IUCN World Conservation Congress in "hybrid" format. This will give those who are unable to attend the event in person the opportunity to follow and participate in certain components of the Congress remotely.

The IUCN Congress, originally scheduled for June 2020, will be held in Marseille from 3 at 11 September 2021

With this decision, the French government and IUCN wish to contribute to the success of the event by enabling the widest possible participation from all over the world.

The various components of the Congress will take place over the following days:

  • Le Forum will take place from 4 at 7 September
  • L'Exhibition will be held from 4 at 9 September
  • L'IUCN Members' Assembly will meet from 8 at 10 September with a first session at the beginning of the Congress. The agenda for the Members' Meeting will be updated and published on 3 June 2021.
  • The Spaces Générations Nature will be open from 4 at 11 September
