International research cooperation schemes: AAP PHC, ECOS, COFECUB

We would like to inform you of the launch of calls for applications for the following bilateral and multilateral PHC research programmes (Programmes Hubert Curien) and other international research programmes aimed at initiating or consolidating scientific partnerships between research units:

 

In view of the current crisis and the resulting working conditions, the DRV will check with Campus France to see if the visa required for these programmes has not been obtained. Please send a copy of your application to the DRV (contact below).

Calls in progress :

China - PHC CAI YUANPEI - application deadline 04 May 2020 (All scientific fields). Aims to consolidate scientific exchanges based on co-supervised or co-directed theses (as distinct from the China Discovery programme (1st contact) and the Xu Guangqi programme (support for scientific exchanges already underway).
South Africa - PHC PROTEA - deadline 30 April 2020 (All scientific fields)
Egypt - PHC IMHOTEP - application deadline 15 April 2020 (All scientific fields. However, priority will be given to the following themes: health (cancer, hepatitis, diabetes), space sciences, environment (new and renewable energies, water), agriculture, human sciences.
United Kingdom - PHC ALLIANCE - deadline 04 May 2020 (Eligible fields: Mathematics, Physical and Chemical Sciences, Information and Communication Sciences, Biological and Medical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences).
Austria - PHC AMADEUS - application deadline 11 May 2020 (All scientific fields)
Tunisia - PHC UTIQUE - application deadline 22 April 2020 (All scientific fields, particularly SHS)
Slovenia - PHC PROTEUS - application deadline 23 April 2020 (All scientific fields).
Belgium - PHC TOURNESOL Wallonie Bruxelles - application deadline 27 April 2020 (All scientific fields)
Uruguay - ECOS South - application deadline 30 April 2020 (All scientific fields)
Israel - MAIMONIDES CHP - application deadline 11 May 2020 (Two themes: New methods and approaches for diagnosing mental illness /Development of new algorithms for artificial intelligence )
Lithuania - PHC GILIBERT - application deadline 14 May 2020 (All scientific fields)
Lebanon - PHC CEDRE - application deadline 18 May 2020 (All scientific fields)
Colombia - ECOS North - application deadline 22 May 2020 (All scientific fields)
Switzerland - PHC Germaine de Staël - application deadline 3 June 2020 (All scientific fields)

As a reminder:
The aim of these programmes is to develop high-quality scientific and technological exchanges between the research laboratories of the two scientific communities, by encouraging new cooperative ventures or the development of new fields.
The funding allocated is mainly intended to finance the "international additional costs" of the projects, i.e. the mobility of the researchers involved in these partnerships.
General selection criteria: in addition to scientific excellence, the main assessment criteria are: the complementary nature of the teams, the mutual transfer of skills, the foreseeable scientific or industrial spin-offs AND the participation of PhD students and/or young scientists (postdocs) in the mobility.
The application form
For PHC & COFECUB: FOR THE FRENCH PART: the French team must enter the application files online on the Campus France extranet according to the procedures indicated on the Campus France website (depending on the programme, this must be distinguished from the file that your partner must send to its local authorities).
For ECOS: FOR THE FRENCH PART: the application must be sent by the Direction de la Recherche et de la Valorisation (DRV), under cover of the institution AND by the applicant electronically.
 

VERY IMPORTANT / THE FINAL FILE IS NOT REQUIRED BY THE DRV TO ISSUE THE NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY OR SIGNATURE

Applicants must certify that they have obtained the agreement of their home institution to submit their application.
NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY: within AMU, to certify that your application has been approved by the University, and if the signature of the institution's representative is not expressly required on the form, a notice of opportunity signed by the President will be given to you by the DRV after receipt of a copy of the application (EVEN IF THE VERSION IS PROVISIONAL). This notice should be attached to the application submitted on the Campus France extranet.
VISA FROM THE HEAD OF THE ESTABLISHMENT: for AMU, REGARDLESS OF THE PROGRAM, the "head/director etc of the organisation" is EXCLUSIVELY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY.
