On Tuesday 29 March 2022, the official launch of the LMI BIOTEC H2 "Production and storage of biohydrogen and methane from fermentable food by-products" took place in Hammamet.
The LMI is part of the strengthening of cooperation between the IRD and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Tunisia, and involves French and Tunisian research teams, in particular from the MIO;
The event was opened by Mr Moncef Boukthir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ms Valérie Verdier, President and CEO of the IRD and Mr Hubert Tardy-Joubert, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy in Tunisia.
The day continued with a presentation by the LMI (Tunisian and French coordinators: Hana Gannoun (ISSBAT) and Pierre Pol Liebgott (MIO)) and its team, the structuring bioinformatics training project (PSF BIODIV) and the FSPI-APIS project, which also deals with waste management issues in Tunisia!
