The NO Tethys II will be out of service from the end of the year for a refit. This is an opportunity for our community to put forward proposals for upgrading the vessel to make it the most suitable platform for our needs.
To this end, FOF has set up a working group to gather information on the needs of current and future users.
Please fill in the questionnaire below and return it to me as soon as possible (it's quite short). We (the WG) will summarise it by mid-June.

QUESTIONNAIRE :
Do you see a need to upgrade the vessel to accommodate equipment from the fleet in addition to L'Europe (AUV, HROV)? With what specific fittings?
Would you see a need to make some winches removable to free up space and on the changes to be made to the layout of the boat?
- on the bridge, at the scientific PC
- back shelf for specific operations
- corridors, etc
Does the existing oceanographic instrumentation (ADCP, TSG, echo sounder, etc.) meet your needs? What surface continuum instrumentation would you like to have on a routine basis for the acquisition of new EOV?
If yes, please provide a technical description of the desired instrumentation and variable(s) and the required quality of the water "made available" (i.e.: "clean", "debubbled", etc.). would you like the instrumental solutions. Would you like to be part of a monitoring committee for this variable?
Should Batos-backed atmospheric sensors be expanded to include more parameters (e.g. PAR, reflectance, pCO2 atm ( .... ICOS like)?
Developments in wet and dry laboratories?
- Any other suggestions?
