The Apero oceanographic campaign, co-directed by CNRS researchers (LEMAR, MIO, LOV), will take place in the North-East Atlantic from 2 June to 17 July 2023.
The aim of this campaign is to study the "biological carbon pump", a phenomenon whereby the ocean limits the quantity of carbon present in the atmosphere.
It should make it possible to identify the consequences of climate change on the ocean's capacity to absorb carbon.
