Young Doctoral Students 2022-2025 / UTLN

For more than 20 years, the SUD - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region has been offering funding for doctoral students to enable them to take up a three-year job to complete their doctoral thesis.

Financing arrangements :

Co-financing for each project must comply with the following conditions:

 90% from the Region and 10% for the socio-economic partner, such as a micro-business, a VSE/SME, an association with fewer than 250 employees or the laboratory's own funds;
 80% from the Region and 20% for the socio-economic partner if it is an ETI, Entreprise de Taille Intermédiaire ( - 5000 employees);
 50% for the Region and 50% for the socio-economic partner in the case of a large company (or a VSE/SME that is 25% or more directly owned by a large group), a public establishment (ADEME, DGA, CNES, etc.) or a local authority.

Exceptionally and under certain conditions only, the Region would agree to finance the majority of the employment. A socio-economic partner must be involved (whether or not it is funding the doctoral contract).

The application form :

It is made up of:

of the application form:

choice of the Strategic or General Sectors strand,
brief presentation of the research project,
information concerning the laboratory signed by its manager,
information concerning the socio-economic partner signed by the manager;

and appendices:

a detailed presentation of the research project (minimum 2 pages),
agreement on the principles of collaboration (where applicable),
possible accreditation by a Competitiveness Cluster,
a detailed description of the collaborative project with the socio-economic partner.

You will shortly receive a simulation of the total cost of a PhD student's salary over 3 years.
