Call launched by the ANR for the exploitation of research campaigns conducted using the resources of the French Oceanographic Fleet.

Objective of the PESIR AO

The PESIR call for projects aims to

  - Increase the competitiveness of French teams during the operational phase of major research infrastructures.

- Helping to conduct and make the most of remarkable, recurring but innovative observations and measurements in a highly competitive environment,
and can only be achieved within the framework of these infrastructures and very long-term nationally or internationally accredited programmes.

The PESIR call complements the AAPG, which remains the call dedicated to funding simple scientific projects using the services offered by IR.

For the PESIR call for proposals, the ANR is setting up a specific evaluation system via a dedicated scientific evaluation committee (CES) made up of qualified French or foreign personalities belonging to the relevant research communities and experts in scientific exploitation and access to major research infrastructures. They are responsible for evaluating the proposals, drawing on external expertise where necessary.

In its experimental phase, the PESIR call for proposals will fund 3-5 projects over a period of 3 years. The amount awarded will be around €600K per project. During the experimental period, a total of around 6 projects are expected to be funded.
