We are pleased to invite you to the 9th edition of the Doctoriades de l'Université de Toulon, organised with the support of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolis and the Conseil départemental du Var on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 October 2019.
The Doctoriades will open with two inaugural lectures on the morning of Thursday 17 October by two renowned researchers. Joël GUIOT, Director of Research at the CNRS and member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), will speak on the subject of global warming. Mr Gilles J. MARTIN, Honorary President of the French Society of Environmental Law and of the Scientific Council of the Port-Cros Park, will speak on the issue of ecological damage.
Two half-days will then be set aside for ten workshops proposed and run by doctoral students from the two doctoral schools (see the programme on the event website).
The last half-day will be devoted to a session informing doctoral students about the value of their work and career opportunities.
