The event, organised by Italy's Institute of Bioeconomics - National Research Council (IBE-CNR), is held every two years for all specialists in Mediterranean coastal areas.

The symposium will be structured around the following sessions:

- Morphology and evolution of coastlines and seabeds

- Coastal geography and coastal landscapes: territorial dynamics and integrated protection

- Underwater and coastal cultural heritage

The symposium will also include
- oral presentations;
- a poster session.

* Deadline for submission of abstracts: 8 November 2021*.

Our aim is to hold the symposium in Livorno. If the limitations imposed by the covid-19 pandemic make it impossible to hold the event on site, the Organising Committee will assess all possible alternatives so as not to alter the founding spirit of the Symposium.
In any case, as for the 2020 edition (see https://doi.org/10.36253/978-88-5518-147-1 ), full publication of accepted papers in the Proceedings will be guaranteed, with ISSN, ISBN and DOI codes.
