Presentation and objectives of the call for projects
Full details can be downloaded from the call for projects.
As part of action area 1 "Consolidating experimentation" of its Roadmap 3.0 (2021-2024), in 2021 the A*Midex Foundation is launching the fifth edition of its "Interdisciplinarity" call for projects designed to recognise and encourage innovative interdisciplinary approaches in response to the scientific and societal challenges of today and tomorrow.
This call for projects will support the Instituts d'établissement d'Aix-Marseille in their efforts to structure and lead interdisciplinary communities. Projects must involve several disciplinary fields within the perimeter of an institute. Unprecedented collaboration between different disciplinary fields on new subjects is particularly welcome.
The specific objectives of the Interdisciplinarity 2021 call for projects:
Supporting a site-wide structuring effort through the Institutional Institutes approach, in favour of interdisciplinarity;
Set up interdisciplinary research projects, which also offer added value in terms of training, and which are part of the response to major scientific and societal challenges;
Encouraging scientific daring and the resolution of new questions through interdisciplinarity;
Support projects that are part of the site's overall interdisciplinary strategy.
