"Circular economy: what innovations for the maritime sector?

 

The Pôle Mer Méditerranée, in partnership with the Pôle Systematic Paris-Région, is organising a workshop on 22 October from 2pm to 5.30pm at the Technopole de la Mer d'Ollioules:

 

"Circular economy: what innovations for the maritime sector?

 

The aim of this event is to raise awareness of circular economy approaches applied to ports, maritime transport, marine energy resources and coastal development.

 

A number of themes will be addressed:

Eco-design of products and services: Increasing the lifespan of products, their recyclability and their proportion of bio-sourced raw materials;
Optimising production processes: Improving the performance and energy efficiency of production processes and reducing their environmental impact;
Waste recovery: Reuse of resources and materials.

The half-day programme includes

Testimonials from players in the field:
Envisan: sediment treatment ;
Reseaclons: setting up a collection and recovery system for plastic waste caught at sea;
PIICTO: industrial and innovation platform in the basins of the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille;
Enogia: a system for recovering waste energy from industrial processes;
Ecocean: ecological restoration for coastal development.
Presentation of the C-Voucher funding scheme, the first project to support the circular economy for SMEs on a European scale. The aim is to mobilise design and technological support for SMEs developing circular value chains.

Funded as part of the Horizon 2020 programme, it will enable you to obtain direct financial assistance of up to €60,000, as well as support from a designer and help with fund-raising.
