Acting for the ocean and contributing to the marine sciences of tomorrow: Ifremer sets up a stakeholder committee

At its last Board of Directors meeting, Ifremer approved the principle of creating a Stakeholder Committee (CPP). The aim is to anticipate and respond more effectively to society's expectations of marine science.

This new body completes the governance of the institute by giving a voice to a diversity of players all concerned by ocean-related issues: companies, craftsmen and employees in the maritime sector, associations and NGOs, citizens and local authorities.

Ifremer is launching a call for applications to recruit members of the CPP. The applications will be analysed by a selection committee in July, which will ensure parity, diversity and representativeness of the various stakeholders, particularly in terms of territory.
