In order to support research projects on themes of interest to the civilian and defence sectors, the French National Research Agency (ANR) and the Defence Innovation Agency (AID) will shortly be launching an ASTRID call for proposals targeting artificial intelligence. The launch of this call, operated by the ANR and fully funded by the AID, is scheduled for mid-June 2021, with a deadline for submitting proposals set for 27 July 2021.
In order to support research projects in this field, the future ASTRID thematic call will focus on the following three areas:
Generic methods for Defence Artificial Intelligence
Processing massive data from heterogeneous sensors
Automatic processing of natural language and speech
The ASTRID programme aims to support projects involving at least one public or similar research organisation. The total number of partners is generally less than five. The duration of the projects is between 18 and 36 months and the amount of aid is a maximum of €300K per project.
