Belmont Forum - OCEAN 2 - Towards the ocean we want: biodiversity and sustainability of ecosystems for nature and human well-being

The Belmont Forum, an international partnership of research funding bodies of which the ANR is a member, is launching a call for projects in the field of ocean sciences. This call, entitled OCEAN 2: Towards the Ocean We Want: Biodiversity and Ecosystem Sustainability for Nature and Human Well-beingThe aim is to coordinate actions and projects through a transdisciplinary approach, encouraging the co-creation, co-design and co-implementation of innovative solutions to global environmental challenges linked to the ocean and its biodiversity, from genes to ecosystems.

Proposals must incorporate elements from at least one of the three areas listed below:

• Biodiversity conservation and nature-based solutions.
• Ocean-biodiversity-climate integration.
• Futures of nature, ocean governance and the ethics of sustainability.

 

Deadline for submission of pre-files : 05 March 2026 at 20:00 CET

Deadline for submission of projects : 17 September 2026 at 20:00 CEST
