Application for the 2022-2023 EIFFEL Scholarship

The Eiffel scholarship programme set up by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs enables French higher education establishments to attract the best foreign students to study for a Master's degree or a doctorate.

It is designed to train future foreign decision-makers from the private and public sectors in priority areas of study, and to encourage applications from students from emerging countries at Masters level and from emerging and industrialised countries at PhD level.

The Eiffel scholarship programme has two components:

A Masters programme, which provides funding for a 12-month (Master 2), 24-month (Master 1) or 36-month (engineering diploma) course leading to a degree.
A doctoral programme, which provides funding for 12-month placements

The fields of study for the Master's and Doctorate degrees are :
Science and technology :

Biology and health
Ecological transition
Mathematics and Numeracy
Engineering sciences

Human and social sciences

French history, language and civilisation

Law Political science
Economics Management

Conditions of eligibility :

Academic excellence is paramount.
Consistency of academic and professional project highlighted.
Reserved for candidates of foreign nationality. Candidates with dual nationality, one of whom is French, are not eligible.
Students already receiving a French government grant under another programme at the time of application are not eligible.
The application of a student whose application has not been accepted at a previous selection is not admissible.

Procedures
Master Track procedure

only students studying abroad can apply.

be no more than 25 years old at the time of the campaign, i.e. born after March 1996″.

Doctorate procedure

Students studying abroad have priority over those living in France.

be no more than 30 years old at the time of the campaign, i.e. born after March 1991

2022 session timetable 
Please note that this timetable does not apply to students, who must contact the French establishments to find out their application deadline.

Selection

The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs appoints experts to select the programme's scholarship holders. Each expert is a teacher-researcher with a doctorate and proven international experience. They are appointed for a non-renewable period of 4 years. Consult the list of judges for the 2021 session.

Dossiers :

Only French higher education institutions may submit applications.
