HCERES is recruiting student experts

Since wave D, Hcéres has included students on its expert committees for the evaluation of bachelor's degrees, professional bachelor's degrees and master's degrees from French public higher education institutions. To this end, it wishes to build up a pool of student experts and is hereby issuing a call for applications.

Description of a consultancy assignment for a committee of experts :

A committee of experts is in charge of assessing a "field of study" (i.e. a group of courses reflecting a theme of the institution being assessed). It is made up of several academic members and/or members from the socio-economic or cultural sectors and a student.

All committee members must have a good knowledge and/or personal experience of French higher education.

The committee works mainly on applications submitted by the institution; it meets twice at Hcéres (once to be trained in the evaluation and to learn about the applications, and another time to present the results of its members' analyses); a delegation from the committee may, depending on the case, take part in a visit and in the evaluation of the institution's project. For ethical reasons, an expert may not have any relationship of interest with the institution being assessed.

The student expert participates in the same way as any other expert on the committee, at all stages, including the drafting of the final report.

Mission expenses (travel and accommodation) are paid by Hcéres, and committee members receive an allowance for their expertise.

If you are a student or have been a student in recent years, and you are interested in taking on one or more expert assignments within Hcéres for the 2019-2020 academic year, you can send a curriculum vitae and a letter of motivation,
