MITI CNRS: Pollution and depollution: solutions and trajectories

The aim of the "Pollution and depollution: solutions and trajectories" call for projects is to encourage innovative interdisciplinary approaches aimed, on the one hand, at a fundamental understanding of the phenomena involved in the contamination of societies, biodiversity and environments by pollutants and their consequences on societies and natural systems, and, on the other hand, at the development of remediation or mitigation processes. All types of pollution are considered: inorganic substances and/or organic molecules, stable or radioactive, whether their source is localised or diffuse, but also acoustic, light, olfactory and land pollution, etc.

Work on the whole chain of collecting and processing pollution data in all its heterogeneity is encouraged. The consequences for societies and natural systems, as well as for human health, may be considered, with particular emphasis on ecohealth or eco-remediation approaches. Proposals should be interdisciplinary, involving representatives from at least two different CNRS institutes. Priority will be given to new collaborations and exploratory programmes.
